Shawn Maloney is an independent financial planner, author of The Priority of Retirement, and owner and CEO of Retire Wise, LLC. With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Shawn is passionate about helping individuals and families prepare for retirement with greater clarity and confidence.
Shawn began his career in financial technology and compliance before moving into insurance and financial planning. In 2020, he founded Retire Wise, LLC, to provide personalized retirement strategies centered on each client's individual circumstances, priorities, and goals. His insights have been featured in publications including Yahoo Finance, USA Today, and Kiplinger, as well as on NBC, ABC, FOX, and CBS television affiliates.
Shawn's Christian faith is central to his life and the way he serves others. Guided by his faith in God and a genuine love for people, he strives to treat every person with compassion, kindness, integrity, and loving care. His goal is to provide clients with clear, relevant information so they can better understand their choices and develop a personal retirement strategy designed around their unique needs, values, and vision for the future.
Through The Retire Happy Framework™, Shawn offers a comprehensive and personalized approach to retirement planning. He helps clients consider the many areas that may affect retirement - including income, investments, taxes, healthcare, legacy planning, and risk management - and provides guidance and resources to support well informed financial decisions and confidently pursue the retirement lifestyle that matters to them.
Shawn holds a BBA in finance and investments from Georgia Southern University. Outside of his work, he enjoys spending time with his family, serving in his church, and giving back to his community.
